Bolton Fight Night – 21st February 2010

Congratulations to Johnny T and Donna for an afternoon of top class fights.

All title contenders have been entered into our rankings system, and you can see the results of the undercard below.

There were five Golden Belt Titles up for grabs, each one closely contended.  However, rather than bore you with paragraphs of text, we have decided to upload the videos and let you see the action for yourselves.

Golden Belt Professional English Title – Ladies Thai Boxing 60-62kg

Annabelle Gelly (KO Gym) V Suzy Wylie (Way of Life)

The Referee stopped the fight in Round 4, 1m 37s, making Annabelle Gelly our new Golden Belt English Champion.  Congratulations Annabelle.

Golden Belt Professional North West Area Title – Thai Boxing 64.5-67kg

Glenn Oakley (Johnny T’s Gym) V Rob Horton (TMAS)

Rounds 1-3

Rounds 4-5

After going the full distance, the judges ruled Glenn Oakley to be the winner by majority decision.  Congratulations to Glenn, our new North West Area Champion.

Golden Belt Professional English Title – Thai Boxing 72-75kg

Luca Catuto (KO Gym) V Adam Wyrozebski (Merseyside Kickboxing)

In Round 2 after just 28 seconds, the Referee deemed Adam Wyrozebski unable to continue due to leg injury.  Therefore our new Golden Belt English Champion is Luca Catuto by TKO.  Congratulations Luca.

Golden Belt Professional North West Area Title – Thai Boxing 67-69.5kg

Andy Metcalfe (Johnny T’s Gym) V Joel Buckley (Way of Life)

In Round 4 after 1m 53s the Referee stopped the fight, making Joel Buckley the new Golden Belt North West Area Champion.  Congratulations Joel.

Golden Belt Professional British Title Defence – Thai Boxing (knees to the head permitted) 64.5-67kg

Robert Burke (John Craigs) Challenger V Matty Smith (Merseyside Kickboxing) Defending Champion

Rounds 4-5

Congratulations to Robert Burke, our new Golden Belt British Champion who took the title by unanimous decision after 5 rounds of no-stop action.

The Golden Belt would again like to congratulation Johnny and Donna on the success of their show, and look forward to working with them again in the future.  Respect goes to all the fighters and clubs who took part.
